On Saturday, November 16th over 300 students from 18 schools participated in the 2nd Annual “Band Day” with the UofL Cardinal Marching Band.  Students received a ticket to the game, lunch and the opportunity to perform with the CMB during half time. On Friday, November 15th, the Wind Ensemble will perform the world premiere of Grawemeyer Award-winning composer Brett Dean’s Engelsflügel, a new work the composer wrote for the University of Louisville School of Music. The concert begins at 8 p.m. in Comstock Concert Hall in the School of Music. Works by UofL’s own music faculty, Marc Satterwhite and Steve Rouse, will also be performed. This Sunday, October 27th, the CMB will perform at half-time for the Bengals vs. Jets NFL football game.  The game begins at 4:05 p.m. at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, OH.  They will perform the “Boston” show which will feature “Peace of Mind”, “More Than a Feeling” and “Smokin’”.  If you would like to purchase tickets, please call 866-621-8383.  The CMB home side is on the West side of the stadium.            …
