The University of Louisville Wind Ensemble, directed by Frederick Speck, will be featured in performance at the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles International Conference in San Jose, California. On Sunday, June 7th, our largest group thus far containing over 140 middle school and 60 high school students arrived at the University of Louisville School of Music for the 2015 Summer Wind Band Institute. Upon arrival, students performed a placement audition to determine their placement for the week of camp. On Friday and Saturday, May 1st and 2nd, the Cardinal Marching Band performed in the 60th Pegasus Parade and the 141st Kentucky Derby.
