Alison Farley has recently been appointed Assistant Professor of Music Education at the University of Georgia Hugh Hodgson School of Music to begin in the Fall of 2016.  She will be working with undergraduate and graduate students in areas related to teacher education, instrumental methods and the psychology of music.  Alie is also excited to continue her research in the areas of: student directed learning, perception and performance of written notation, psychology of music and teacher education. …

Another first for UofL Bands! Under the direction of Dr. Amy Acklin, the UofL Symphonic Band has been invited to perform at the 2016 College Band Directors National Association – Southern Regional Conference in Charleston, SC on February 18.
