Last weekend we welcomed over 190 musicians, representing 45 high schools band programs from Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana to our stage. The performances of all the three high school honor bands were excellent, and the UofL Wind Symphony performance capped an amazing evening of music making! In particular, UofL’s Professor of Tuba and Euphonium, Professor Clint McCanless, dazzled the super-sized audience with his virtuosic rendition of Tony Plog’s “3 Miniatures”. This event is truly a testimony to the amazing teaching that takes place each day in these schools! Congratulations to everyone and we hope to see you all next January!
