On Friday, January 25th and Saturday, January 26th, we will have close to 200 students from Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio join us for two days of intense rehearsals and a performance during our annual Invitational Honor Band. These students were nominated by their high school band director, private instructor, or UofL faculty member to attend the Honor Band. The University of Louisville Symphonic Band has been invited to perform at the 2018 KMEA Professional Development Conference. The clinic “From Literal to Musical: Band Rehearsal Techniques for Achieving Proper Balance, Articulation Style and Phrasing” will be held Thursday, February 8 from 11:35 a.m.-12:35 p.m. at the Galt House Hotel in Louisville, KY.
